2026 ACTC GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS
The Arlington Cultural Tourism Council (ACTC) is a volunteer advisory committee composed of arts and culture advocates and a representative of the Arlington City Council. Together, they review applications and make recommendations for how City revenue should be allocated to qualifying arts and cultural organizations within Downtown Arlington.
Funding for the Downtown Arlington Cultural Arts Operating Grant comes from the City of Arlington’s hotel occupancy tax collections and is distributed annually to eligible nonprofit organizations. All grants are contingent upon annual appropriations and City Council priorities.
Grant Eligibility:
To be considered for funding, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nonprofit Status – Must be a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
- Location – Must have a physical address within the boundaries of the Downtown Cultural Arts District (see map below).
- Arts Focus – Must primarily promote or produce music, theater, visual arts, and/or dance in the Downtown Cultural Arts District.
- Public Programming – Must host significant annual events or performances within the district that are open to the public.
- Responsible Management – Must demonstrate a consistent record of responsible financial and organizational management within Arlington.
- Financial Documentation – Applicants must provide the following current financial reports:
- Year-to-Date Profit & Loss Statement
- Current Balance Sheet
- 2024 Profit & Loss Report
- Most recent filed IRS 990
- Use of Funds – All awarded grant funds must be invested exclusively in Arlington operations of the applying organization.
Application Process:
New applicants must submit a completed grant application with all required documentation by 5 p.m (CDT), Wednesday, Nov. 12. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Past recipients must submit a completed grant application with all required documentation AND a post-grant form by 5 p.m (CDT), Wednesday, Nov. 12. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
